Located on the east side of Sacramento, Rancho Cordova was incorporated in 2003 and is located along Highway 50, bordered by the American River Parkway and Mather Airport. Recognized with an All-American City Award by the National Civic League, Rancho Cordova is a community rich in history, recreation, and professional opportunity.
This lively city is home to many amenities, including the Sacramento State Aquatic Center. Conveniently located off Hazel Avenue and Highway 50, the center offers miles of flatwater famous for rowing, and is ideal for stand up paddle boarding, sailing, and canoeing. The nearby American River meanders through the area, attracting rafters and swimmers during the warm summer months.

Rancho Cordova is part of the Folsom Cordova Unified School District. Cordova High School offers an excellent athletic program with numerous alumni having launched successful careers in professional sports.

Considered the city’s signature event, the Fourth of July celebration includes fireworks, concerts, carnival, parade, kids’ zone, and spirit runs. “Free Friday Nights Out” continues to keep the summer months lively with a series of free open-air movies and concerts at the Village Green Park amphitheater.
